Today I say good-bye to my very special scrapping friend, Velma Dobesh. I met Velma at the Scrapping USA Convention in Grand Island, NE several years ago. She and her scrapping friends took me in and made me part of their group. I'm not sure if they corrupted me or if I corrupted them but we sure have a good time together.
Velma was a sweet, kind-hearted woman who always had a smile on her face. But she also wasn't afraid to tell it like it is if needed. That's what I think I like best about her. She didn't sugar coat things. She was genuine.
Convention will not be the same without her but I am thankful for having known her and cherish all the memories I have.
Rest in peace, my friend.
